As you can see there are a few of us…
We stay very busy with kids, sports, and 4-H. This year we decided to add a small business to the mix .
For about 8 years we have fed out hogs for personal consumption along with our 4-H hogs. We have bought them from a nearby Hutterite Colony and have had great product.
We decided to take the next step and sell the pork products we love so much.
Top Notch Pork Cuts purchased 8 hogs, fed them for 6 months, and had them processed at Rancher’s Best in Miles City MT. Our hogs are fed ground corn from a local farmer (Josh Haynie and Family) and CHS Payback feed through the local elevator.

Consumers are looking for homegrown, quality, reasonably priced pork products. They want to know where their food is coming from and want to have a good selection of pork cuts. Finding local raised pork is tough in Eastern Montana. There are many that raise competitive show hogs and do very well for themselves. What consumers are wanting however, is that down home pork product full of flavor, they can purchase locally, and a producer they can trust.
